Killingly Conservation Commission

Our mission

"To promote the development, conservation, supervision, and regulation of natural resources, including water resources within the Town of Killingly and provide the methodology for protection and maintenance of these resources."


The Killingly Conservation Commission has identified five categories of resources that they feel are important to protect, manage and maintain:

  • Hydrology (wetlands, watercourses, aquifers, and watersheds)

  • Forest and wildlife

  • Agricultural and farmland protection and preservation

  • Active and passive recreational open space

  • Aesthetic, cultural, and historic resources
